Source Data

Source Data is the payroll run results from the old system. It is the data that the new target system is aiming to replicate.


The Source Data is loaded into the Quick Pay Checker according to a pre-defined layout. Source Data should only be required once per test period as this data should remain fixed during the testing phase. 

 

Users choose a unique ID to cross reference employees between the old system and the new system, as employee numbers may be different across systems. 

 

The Quick Pay Checker validates the element mapping information against the Source Data before proceeding. 

The tool includes helpful hints and tips and automatically identifies any missing elements or balances from the mapping table that may be included in the Source Data.

Once all the Source Data mappings have been resolved, the next stage is to import the Target Data.
